Freezing wind chill temperatures mean most of us dread going outside this time of year. Unless you are lucky enough to live somewhere warm, this probably leaves you wanting to reach for bulky layers. However, creating a polished look is still possible mid-winter! Think about pairing pieces you wouldn’t usually combine like a long skirt and sweater. I tucked my sweater in for a more put-together look. It’s actually the same one I wore in this post, and shows how easily you can dress an item up or down. Long-line skirts and dresses have the potential to really elongate us short girls when paired with a nude pump! They draw the eye both up and down to create the illusion of longer legs…always a good thing, right? Complete your warm, yet sophisticated, look by topping it with a structured coat.


^ I found some great alternatives to my coat and wanted to share them with you guys. I think now is the best time to purchase a winter coat while they’re still in season, but marked down in price 🙂 !
