I am still beaming over the beautiful bridal shower my aunt, mom and future mother-in-law threw for me. The shower venue was Luthy Botanical Garden in Peoria which is beautiful beyond words! It was originally supposed to be in one of the outdoor gardens, but rain had us scrambling to get everything into the conservatory after the first half hour. Luckily my wonderful fiancé captured some pictures outside before the party started. The conservatory, which houses all of the tropical plants, is gorgeous, but so hot and humid! Every girl knows this is a nightmare for hair and makeup 😉 I still had the most wonderful time and was so happy that almost all of my friends and family could make it. Tyler and I were completely overwhelmed by the generosity of our friends and family. We received so many useful and thoughtful gifts. Thanks again to everyone who attended!
P.S.
A little note about my dress.. I searched high and low for this dress, which was sold out everywhere at the time I was looking, and ultimately my cousin who works at Nordstrom was able to find one for me in store! It’s now restocked and even on sale. The shapeless fit was different for me, but I loved the soft colors and pattern. If you decide to purchase this dress definitely size down. It’s one of those dresses that makes you feel like a little girl in a princess costume.
DRESS: 1.State // WEDGES: Banana Republic
